The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation (OCF) is pleased to announce an application process for assistance available to cattle producers impacted by the 2016 spring wildfires. Donations to the relief fund were received from all areas of the country. OCF is especially grateful to the Shawnee Tribe, Merck Animal Health, GoBob Pipe & Steel, Oklahoma Steel & Wire, Stillwater Milling and ADM Nutrition for their donations.
All cattle producers that were affected by the wildfire are eligible, and encouraged, to apply. It is important to the contributors that the funds go directly to affected ranchers. OCF is requesting applications be returned by Sept. 30, 2016 so checks can be issued by mid-October.
The application for funds is a simple, one-page document that will help an established OCF review committee equitably distribute the funds. Documentation should be attached to your completed application such as USDA-FSA Form 578, USDA-FSA program applications, receipts for veterinary care, receipts/estimates for fence repair, receipts for special feed purchase, etc.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the OCA office at (405) 235-4391 and request to speak to Jeff Jaronek, OCF Coordinator.
