The primary focus of the OCA continues to be representing the interests of Oklahoma's cattlemen at the Oklahoma Legislature. The OCA has continued an aggressive course of action supporting proactive legislation and challenging anti-industry legislation and regulations. The presence of the OCA has been heard and felt at the Oklahoma legislature and the U.S. Congress. The OCA exists to support and defend the state and nation's beef cattle industry. The OCA officers, board of directors and membership encourages you to join us in our advocacy efforts to ensure less government intervention, lower taxes and a better bottom line.

Our Journey So Far

1934

OSAGE COUNTY CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION OGANIZED

Perhaps one of the largest and oldest of county organizations. Holding an annual meeting and ranch tour, as well as sponsoring numerous other activities, this group was quite prominent in the state.

1945

REGIONAL ASSOCIATIONS FOUNDED

Other regional associations were formed near the end of World War II, including the Northwest Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, Inc., formed to promote cattle theft prevention and new cattle sanitation plans and become an influence in the state legislature,

We’re based in the Historic Oklahoma National Stockyards

In 1968, Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association moved into our building in the Historic Oklahoma National Stockyards.
